Day 6. Cows in the cycle path on the beautiful Clyde Corridor Cycle Path

Are cracking on up through Scotland and have made it as far as Loch Lomand. Today has been warm and dry and some great cycling as we picked up the cldye corridor cycle route that took us all the way from south of Glasgow right up to Balloch. Keep your fingers crossed for the same weather tomorrow.

Scotland 16.00

Chaps or no Chaps ?

Day 5 and another wet day

Well, that's the wettest 50miles ever. And not much fun on the A6 around Kendle. However, we are now in a lovely cafe in Penrith having lunch (is it ok to have porridge for lunch?) They lied...today's route is 107miles and not 84 as promised last night. Still, we are over Shap and nearly half way. :-)

Bridge over troubled water !

Day 3 cycling over the old Severn Bridge into Wales.

Day 4

On the road early this morning as the weather is due to break later on. Have already banged out 30 miles this morning with the help of our secret weapon for the day Warkick Sanderson. Have just stoped in Tarporley for Crumpet but will be back on it soon.

The Dyson

I've never seen any one so happy to see a Dyson hand dryer in the men's toilets ! Not just good for the hands !

Wet, wet, wet!

Today, through the power of cutting satellite technology, we got lost at the first turn trying to exit Bristol from our hotel.  However, we went over three bridges (instead of just the Severn Bridge).  The view will have been stunning if it hadn't been raining cats and dogs!  Our wet weather gear was no match for the elements! Even so, the Wye Valley was stunning, as was the Hereford Catherdral where some of us lunched at the Cloister Cafe. The afternoon was spent time-trialling along the A49 towards Shrewsbury for what felt like hours.  Paul navigated the urban terraine expertly towards our hotel for the night where we have filled our tums with more fuel for tomorrow's ride to Lancaster.

Day 3

The first wet day but we won't let it dampen our spirits  !
